Celebrate the 125th anniversary of The Daily Texan at the 2025 Friends of the Daily Texan Awards gathering on Friday, April 4, in the Walter Cronkite Plaza and adjacent auditorium, 2504 Whitis Ave. on the UT campus.

The event, sponsored by Friends of The Daily Texan, Inc., recognizes Texan alumni who have led distinguished careers and individuals who have been steadfast supporters of The Daily Texan. In addition, a preview of the documentary in production to mark The Texan's 125th anniversary will be shown and scholarship grants from the Friends group and donors will be presented to 13 Daily Texan staffers.

The event begins with a reception/meal from 5-6:45 p.m., when you can catch up with your friends and colleagues, and meet other Daily Texan alums. Presentations of Hall of Fame and scholarship winners will start at 7:15 p.m. in the adjacent auditorium.

Reconnect with friends and celebrate your time at UT, as well as the great accomplishments of fellow Texan alums. The program will also include a presentation by the current Daily Texan editors on what’s happening in the newsroom.

Please join us for this opportunity to connect with Texan alums of all eras, celebrate the induction of new honorees into The Daily Texan Hall of Fame and learn more about the current status of The Daily Texan.
